elcome to the website for the Blue Oak Ranch Reserve, a portal that will serve to introduce our campus community and other potential users to the programs and opportunities afforded by the latest addition to the University of California Natural Reserve System. 

    Blue Oak Ranch Reserve is now managed by the University of California Berkeley campus, and thanks to the generosity of our donors and the taxpayers of the state, this extraordinary 3,260 acre site will be sensitively developed into a world class teaching and research center with a focus on ecosystem research and conservation science in the wildland to urban interface. We intend to develop and manage our new facilities using ecologically sustainable design principles, and to advance the concept of sustainable science through innovations in teaching, research and natural resources stewardship.
