Habitat Highlights:

The Arroyo Hondo Survey

This will be the first in a series of visual images of major habitats and environments within the Reserve. The Arroyo Hondo survey was conducted by four intrepid volunteers who backpacked into the most remote corner of BORR over the Labor Day weekend. The Arroyo Hondo is the largest watershed on Mount Hamilton, and the 2 mile reach that passes through BORR  supports a perennial streamflow with deep pools, undisturbed riparian woodland, a native fishery including steelhead and an abundance of wildlife.
